Pathetic Attempts to Score Points… an update

Two days ago I pointed you to this, with the comment that this author represents the worst face of the English nationalists…

Well this is the result of this person’s attempts to stir his mates to fight his battles!

The comments left on Andy Murray’s blog were in the main good natured, but as is the nature of the nationalists some could not resist getting personal and insulting:-

“While most of the comments were good-natured, they also included personal attacks against Murray and his mother, and even a reference to the massacre at his home town of Dunblane.”

And this despite the authour’s request to:-

“Be polite though, we wouldn’t want England to get the same reputation as Scotland.”

Well I hope that he is happy with the product of his labour; I for one have absolutely no time for people like this who simply enjoy throwing the first stone the standing back to watch… He knew perfectly well when he made his request to “be polite” that this would never be the case; I have been on the receiving end of his attempts before with the result that I am still getting flooded with spam from various porn sites because one of his mates decided it would be fun to take my email address and plant it on a wide variety of porn sites.

So they want an English Parliament, which, for various reasons, they will not get in the form that they want; yet they behave like spoilt children and playground bullies! Is this the way to achieve their aims? Personally I think not, the more of this type of behaviour that is shown by these people the more they will be marginalised by those in the majority who are quite happy with the status quo, and who simply want to get on with livng their lives.

I am too much of a gentleman to suggest that you follow this link and tell him what you think; ok, so I lied…

Pathetic Attempts to Score Points…

I find this author one of the worst faces of the English nationalists, as his tactic is not to fight the battles himself, but it is to point others in the direction of the battle and let them take the flack. He has done this to me in the past, he starts with insults and abuse and when that gets nowhere he resorts to inciting others to fight his war for him…

is exactly the sort of thing I mean. I actually think that it is quite pathetic that these people get so wound up about such trivial things; not only that but that they expend so much energy in ranting and raving about these perceived injustices. After all there are much more important things happening worldwide, perhaps they should dedicate some of the time and energy they waste on their hypocrisy and bigotry to bringing an end to world poverty…

But is it Art?

I found this piece of video today, which made me think about  the possibilities of such performances, and whether or not they are really art. However, I suppose if half a cow in a vat of formaldehyde is art then where is the problem with this?

English Nationalism Going MAD!

I found this site today, a site which I think to be the scarier side of English Nationalism; here are a few of their ideas, I will refrain from making any comments on what I present as I feel that there is absolutely no need:-

2.6 The role of men and women
We believe the traditional role of men and women should serve as the IDEAL MODEL for our culture, and we will discourage the imported American idea that MOTHERS should have the same career aspirations as men. We will restore conditions where families with children can live on a single modest income.

4.3Immigration,
We will allow NO MORE IMMIGRATION into England. We will enforce this by increasing the resources of the Customs and Immigration Service, using available military personnel when convenient.

4.4 Repatriation
The number of immigrants and people from immigrant families now living in England has become so great that the time has come to turn the inward flow into an outward flow. We will implement a 20 year programme of the repatriation of post-WW2 immigrants. This will be carried out sympathetically but with determination. It will be done by ‘Constructive Repatriation’ i.e. by the normal government process of passing Acts of Parliament which will make England less and less attractive for the immigrants to remain.

4.6 Political asylum
The present asylum system means continued immigration into England every time there is a political crisis somewhere in the world. Asylum seekers should be required to take refuge in neighbouring slates so that they can easily return home. We will accept only EXCEPTIONAL CASES of asylum seekers on a short-term basis, and only subject to the direct personal initiative of the English Home Secretary. If a country is so misgoverned as to cause an exodus of asylum seekers, we consider ourselves justified in putting pressure on that country, diplomatic or military, until stable government is achieved.

7.3 The link with immigration
A disproportionate amount of crime in England is the work of immigrants and those from immigrant families. This is due to immigrants being alienated from English society. Our policy of repatriation with an initial emphasis on criminals will radically help to reduce crime.

11.2 The media
Newspapers, television and radio shape the way we think. We will introduce the principle of government guidance of media content for a five-year period in order to ELIMINATE ITS ABILITY TO INDOCTRINATE. The BBC will be replaced by a new English Broadcasting Corporation. We will require all English national newspapers to be English registered and owned.

12.4 Gypsies
We will require Gypsies to live on property for which Planning Approval has already been obtained.

15.2 Rebirth of England
We will WITHDRAW England from the United Kingdom. England will then be a ‘reborn’ nation-state, as will Scotland and Wales. We assume that Northern Ireland might as a result establish itself as an independent state, but this needs to be decided in Ireland. On establishing an independent England, we will carry out from a purely English perspective a comprehensive REVIEW of all legislation passed by past British governments.

15.6 Europe
Our policy is ‘Cooperation not Integration’. We want an ENGLAND GOVERNED BY ENGLISH MPs FROM WESTMINSTER. We will withdraw from the European Union until it reforms itself into a loose ASSOCIATION of independent European nation-states. We recognize that the nations of Europe have greatly influenced each other’s development in the past, and we support the maximum cooperation between the nations of Europe. However, we reject any moves towards political integration. Europe is a Continent, not a Country. We will never allow laws from outside bodies to be imposed on England.

Responsible Journalism???

I want to thank EKant (see comments) for drawing my attention to this piece from Scotland on Sunday. This is the worst side of jounalism, surpassed only by the idiot Hoggart;here an organ, which likes to be thought of, and thinks of itself, as a serious newspaper, sent a bunch of people out to deliberately see if they could provoke a reaction; as far as I am concerned this is about as wise as taking a stick and stirring it around in a hornet's nest. I mean, for pity's sake, if you set out to provoke a reaction then that is precisely what you will do! Surely, if you want to really know what people think you conduct a survey in the proper manner, rather than going out and rubbing people's noses in whatever it is you are trying to provoke a reaction about. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to have agreed with the tenor of this totally irresponsible piece of 'journalism'; a piece of unmitigated crap that is not worthy of the Scotland on Sunday, but which belongs down in the gutter alonside the tabloids, this is the sort of scaremongering that the Mail and the Scum are usually guilty of perpetrating!

Scotland on Sunday, you can do better than this rubbish; so why don't you?

Simon Hoggart: Journalist or Pratt?

BW pointed this out to me on Saturday, and I have given it a bit of thought. Now I really liked Simon Hoggart a while back, he was funny, pithy, and somehow always managed to hit the point; however recently I cannot stand him he has become unfunny, boring and quite, quite irritating, to the point that my advice to him would be to go and stick his head up his ass and see if he can find out what went wrong. Strong words I know, but this article is just so much crap that it beggars belief, and also poses the question as to what planet he is on, because it is certainly not this one! He rants about “those Scots who detest England so much” and then goes on to point out:-

“And the worst thing is that the hatred isn’t reciprocated. There can be nothing more galling than to loathe someone who in return regards you with benign tolerance - when they think about you at all, that is. Inevitably the anti-English brigade become like children shouting “I hate you, I hate you!” while the parent smiles and says, “I think he’s over-tired”. Does anyone south of the border give a monkey’s cuss that the Scottish first minister supported Paraguay last week?”

What a complete pratt! Where has he been living recently? My advice is that he visits the CoSG Forum, or any of the other English Nationalist websites, forums, blogs etc. and he will soon see that this “hatred” IS reciprocated; they trot out some very well worn phrases like “English people are dying because of Scottish bigotry“, or that England is “a violently suppresed minority“. If this is the best that a so-called journalist can do then I think it is about time he switched of his word processor and went out and got a proper job, perhaps cleaning toilets as that seems very much to be where his mind has been recently! I would reply to his inane drivel but someone on the Guardian letters page did it so much better than I could:-

“Simon Hoggart’s unsophisticated argument about Scots (Shirty Scots’ hatred is such a waste, June 17) is representative of the current weakness within the English debate about their own national identity. In recent weeks, the media have focused on the “Jocks’” support for Trinidad and Tobago, evoking typical English arguments about the Barnett Formula and the West Lothian Question, both of which are essentially problems of the government, not the Scottish people, who couldn’t care less.

The support of “anyone but England” in the World Cup is, to Scots, a bit of fun. Why should Scots embrace the hysteria and immodesty that surrounds a mediocre England squad? Our natural reaction is to back the opponent and the English failure to understand this for what it is only underlines that we are a breed apart.

Scots are perfectly comfortable with their identity within the UK and the EU, and have rejected the SNP as extremist. In contrast, English national identity is in flux: pride appears to be growing, the flags are out, the hooligans curtailed and a new wave of immigration furnishes my town, Reading, with some much-needed Slavic glamour and vitality.”

Skye: A Music Festival…

The Bonds have been away enjoying themselves over the weekend - they packed the tent and buggered off to Skye for the music festival. It has to be said that the experience was an excellent one, that is apart from the beer available on site which amounted to two shit beers (Tennants and McEwans Export) and a cider (Strongbow); next time we head off to a festival we will have learnt the lesson (take your own beer)! OK people, this is from an idea sparked by a comment I made on one of Martyn's posts. Five characters from the past that you would like to be able to talk to and why…

My five (in no particular order):-

Shakespeare: because we know so little about the man, and I think it would be interesting to find out more…

Leo Tolstoy: because I would love to know why he wrote that load of rubbish "What is Art" in which he condemns pretty much the whole canon of Western Art to the dustbin…

J.M.W. Turner: well not so much talk to him but to have the opportunity to paint with him and learn something…

Lucretia Borgia: because I would like to know if she was mad, bad or simply dangerous to know…

David Hume: because I would love to know just where he would have taken his "On The Standard of Taste" had he been able to follow it up…

Fear of Terrorism

BondWoman and I were talking this morning about how there is a climate of fear of terrorism around these days, and how that it is odd that we don't fear the many other things that are more likely to kill us, the drunk driver, the random nutter etc. etc. I remember having paid many visits to London douring the 70's and 80's when the IRA were at their most active, and there did not seem to be the same fear of terrorism that there is now; of course everyone was wary and aware that a bomb could go off at any time. I think that the difference is the way in which such incidents are handled these days, both by government and the press, particularly the scaremongering tabloids. One relatively effective tool then was the denial of publicity to the IRA, although the BBC et al found ways around it, which is far less possible these days with the development of the technology that makes the immediacy of news, and the communication of ideas, so much easier. As far as I can see governments are guilty of mishandling the whole terrorist thing by declaring a "War on Terror" and all of the rhetoric that surrounds it; this is simply playing into the hands of the fanatics, and providing them with the material to justify their claims and actions. Let's see this for what it is, it is not a "War", that is simply dignifying what is no more nor less than murder, whether it be one or a hundred people killed it is still a criminal act defined as murder, and should be seen as such. The stupid thing to me is that we do not learn the lessons of the past; we continue to feed the fanatics with all of the rhetoric upon which their perverted views feed, instead of taking a step back and asking ourselves why young British men feel that they are so isolated from society that they feel the need to kill not only themselves but to take many other lives at the same time. As I say, these were young British men, they were not "the nasty foriegners who are here illegally" that the bloody tabloids would have us believe are the threat to our security; this tells me that we somewhere down the line we have failed in our societal duties, because if we had not such people would not feel so marginalised from society that they feel the need to commit such atrocities.

An Apology

I do apololgise to those who have found the recent changes somewhat confusing; rest assured these are the last of the major changes for the forseeable future. It had got to the point where I thought that BondBloke no longer had a voice of his own, and that something had to be done about it; that brought about the question of BB blogging under the heading of Numptie, and as BB is far more intelligent than Numptie the name had to go as well. Numrtie was very resistent to to change and BB had to assert his authority quite strongly to force him to step aside; I am sure that with time he will come to appreciate that it is for the best…

Wherein the Truth Lies?

Those ‘nice’ people at the CoSG Forum keep on insisting that they are not hypocritical, racist bigots; but then something like this appears on their forum and it really makes me wonder!

I know that the old saying goes “just because you are paranoid it doesn’t mean they are not out to get you”; but this is paranoia to the n^th degree which ranks alongside their most popular phrases: “a violently suppressed minority” and “English people are dying because of Scottish bigotry“. I am afraid that as long as they are trotting out such rubbish, and publishing such hatred on their forum, there is nothing that they can say that will convince me that the majority of these people are anything other than hypocritical, racist bigots!

Numptie Takes and Early Bath!

There are some changes taking place here at Numptie's Nest, and I would like to apologise to all the readers for any inconveniences which may be caused. Firstly, BondBloke is back! I have persuaded Numptie to take an early bath, it was not easy, but threats of dire consequences finally did the trick. Secondly, there will be a name change (apologies for any confusion that this may cause), but the astute among you will have already spotted that… Finally, there will be no policy change here; I started this vendetta and I will bloody well finish it! The highlighting of English Nationalist principles may not be as regular as those sought out by my friend Numptie, but I guarantee that they will be equally critical. I intend to seek out much more thought provoking stuff, which will also be interspersed with some fun stuff as well just to prevent boredom setting in.

Someone who knows Nothing!

I had a comment on Friday on this post, which I deleted due to its somewhat insulting content, plus the fact that the commenter refused to supply a valid email address; the content was as follows:

“Numpties nest, you’re a silly sad stupid boy aren’t you. Do you analyse your navel fluff? Kids are dying in the 3rd world and you are trying to score worthless points. pathetic”

I have taken the weekend to consider whether to reply to this load of drivel, and have decided to do just that. Here is a person, who does not know who I am, and who very likely will never know who I am attacking me for “trying to score worthless points” when there are “Kids are dying in the 3rd world“; this implies that I do not have a social conscience! Well I would like to inform this person that I probably have more of a social conscience than they themselves have. This person has absolutely no idea of my political affilliations etc., and yet they set themselves up as a judge of people that they don’t know and have never met; and quite frankly I would never want to meet such a person as the author of this rubbish. This person needs to go away and contemplate their own navel for a while; better still get active and do something for the kids who “are dying in the 3rd world” as both my partner and myself do in our own small way. But then I have come to expect no more than abuse and insult from such people as the author of this utter crap; especially as they are mostly hypocritical bigots…
