This just makes me so fucking angry it is unbelievable! It is the rank hypocrisy of the whole situation; on the one hand we have the Americans paying lip service to a whole bundle of lies “we need a sustainable ceasefire”, whilst on the other hand they are sending the Israelis the bombs to drop on innocent people in places like Beirut! I notice that Margaret Beckett made no other comment than to say that the only concern of our government was that the paperwork was not right; well what should we expect from a government whose leader spends the majority of his time licking the ass of a complete moron (yes I mean old George W himself). As far as I am concerned the person who provides the gun which kills someone is equally as guilty as the person who pulls the trigger; and it would be good to see both Blair and Bush in the dock for supplying Israel with the means to murder innocent people in the name of “self defence”.

I also notice that Blair is going to be pushing Bush to insist on an immediate ceasefire; fat chance give the record of the US vetoing anything concerning Israel in the UN. maybe if he licks a little harder GW might just notice that he is there…

The only way to stop this is for the US to get its collective head out of its collective arse and to a) support sanctions, preferrably economic sanctions, against Israel, and b) stop supplying the arms necessary for Israel to continue its disproportionate punishment of innocent people. That also applies to our own government; the sooner that Blair wakes up and realises that for a number of years now the moron has been making him look a complete and utter twat (although I don’t think that much help was needed there) the better.

And THEY Expect to be Taken Seriously!!!

I have not had a trawl of the English Nationalists for a while now because I have better things to occupy my time; I got a bit bored this evening and decided to see if I could find anything interesting. I found this and I have to admit to being gobsmacked by the sheer stupidity of it, how can anyone lobbying for an English Parliament expect to be taken seriously when they come out with such utter and complete crap as this?

State Terrorism - Revisited

The front page of the Guardian this morning only serves to confirm what I was saying here it seems that:-

The US is giving Israel a window of a week to inflict maximum damage on Hizbullah before weighing in behind international calls for a ceasefire in Lebanon, according to British, European and Israeli sources.

Personally I think the chances of the US “weighing in behind international calls for a ceasefire” are very slim indeed; one only has to look at the vetoing record of the United States in resolutions concerning Israel to see that they have a very long track record of supporting Israel. It begs the question, what about the “War on Terror”? I have said it previously and will say it again; what Israel are doing is nothing more nor less than State Sponsored Terrorism! If anyone believes that this has anything to do with the capture of a couple of soldiers then I am afraid that they are very deluded indeed. Israel has always had an expansionist policy, and that accompanied with their paranoia is a very dangerous mix, as we are now seeing. “We are only protecting ourselves”, well that excuse has worn a bit thin in the light of the civilian targets that have been either shelled or bombed. I repeat what I said in my previous post on this topic; it is about time that the United States got its collective head out of its collective arse and started denouncing Israel with more than just platitudes!

Insufficient Evidence?

I have just read THIS!

“The Crown Prosecution Service said there was “insufficient evidence” to offer a realistic prospect of conviction against any individuals.”

Insufficient evidence! Seven bullets in the head of an innocent man! What more evidence do they want? To say that this was a disproportionate use of force is an understatement; this strikes me as officers who panicked when out of touch with their superiors, and then killed an innocent man on his way to work; although I suppose that the situation could have been far more catastrophic with many more people being killed.

This strikes me as papering over the cracks and hoping no one will notice; no, let’s call it what it is, a fucking whitewash job! Someone HAS to be held responsible for this fiasco, someone HAS to face charges for this innocent man’s death! Then we have all of the post incident wriggling, the lying etc. by Sir Ian Blair, who let’s face it should be hung out to dry for that if nothing else.

The excuse is that “the officers thought they were doing the right thing”, well I hope I never have to reach into a rucksack for my mobile if there are armed officers around!

State Terrorism

I have just been listening to the Today Programme which has the capacity to wind me up at times, none more so that today whilst listening to all the stuff about what is happening in the middle east. As far as I am concerned what Israel are doing is no more nor less than terrorism, they are no better than the terrorists they are “protecting” themselves against. And what makes this so much worse is the fact that they are getting tacit approval for every single one of these acts of terrorism from America, who, when faced with any UN resolution against Israel, exercise their veto. Looking back over the years it is quite astonishing just how often the US has used the veto when anything concerning Israel has been on the agenda; as I say giving tacit approval to Israeli acts of terrorism. It is about time that the US got its collective head out of its collective arse and started supporting the rest of the world who are trying to bring Israel into line. Nostradamus predicted that Armageddon would begin in the middle east, well maybe not in those words, but pretty close; and at the moment it does not look like he was far off the mark.

Taking a Break

Hi folks, I have decided to take a bit of a break this week to allow my brain, what little there is, to catch up. I am really not sure where all of this is going at present, and I also have too many other demands on my time, so a few days away from this madhouse seems like a good idea.

An Acceptable Face of English Nationalism

Contrary to popular belief I am not anti-English; and I am prepared to give credit where credit is due. I had a comment on this post today from someone who called himself David (the Acceptable Face of English Nationalism) and I am sure that he will not mind me drawing attention to his comment:-

Now I am in a quandry!! I was looking for some information on English Nationalism, because I am starting to beleive the time is coming for the English to have their own Parliament. I won’t bore you with the why’s, but I find myself sympathetic with your views on most of what I have read. Are these guys just born again BNP members or what?

I don’t care what the colour of your skin is, I don’t care what your religion is, if you are a UK Citizen residing in England and contributing to your community, then your OK by me. It is a wonderful country and is sadly knocked from within and with out the Union by people who should know better.

The real point is that I beleive that unless it is combatted, the English will find them selves divided by regional assemblies and never able to express their nationalism is a united voice.
The present governments plans have taken a knock, but have not gone away.

The Lothian Question is not one that is going to go away. Things need to be set right. Our neighbours need to quietly realise that the only country in the union that is a net contributor is England. The clear inference is that it is English working men and womens tax money that helps the other nations live in the style they have become accustomed to. So please, let’s have less of the English bashing. In the end it is going to be counterproductive.

Now whilst I do not agree with everything he says (but I agree with most of it) he makes his point in a very calm and reasoned way without any of the anti-Scot’s/anti-Welsh invective so often highlighted here. It is about time that more people like this came forward and put those who are so hell bent on promoting their hypocritical, racist message well and truly in their place.

Racist, Bigotted Right Wingers?

I found this quote

“It all comes from being branded with being racist, bigotted right wingers, just for being English.”

in my usual trawl of the rubbish being spouted by those nice people at the CoSG Forum today, and I just have to respond to it. My view is that it has nothing to do with being “English” that they are being “branded with being racist, bigotted right wingers”, but rather that these people are mostly “racist, bigotted right wingers”, and that Nationalism of any sort tends to attract such xenophobic (see here) people.

I was listening to the brother of the Muslim soldier killed in Afghanistan on Channel 4 News last night, and he really spoke in an articulate manner about doing his bit for Britain, that he is British, and how he wishes that the media would stop focussing on the negative aspects, like the recent survey whic reveals that 16% of Muslims supported the 7/7 bombings, and started highlighting the positive like the fact that 84% of Muslims do not support the 7/7 bombings.

I completely agree with what he was saying, by higlighting the negative all we are doing is creating a devisive and divided society, when what we should actually be doing is creating an inclusive and harmonious society. Perhaps our English Nationalist friends could learn something from this; and instead of constantly attacking those who “are not of our kind”, could perhaps begin to think about including them and listening to what they have to say for once. Then maybe the labels racists, hypocrites and bigots might just stop being applied to them.

A Warm Welcome

I noticed today that I have had several visits from a Welsh speaking forum; now I have no idea whether they are being nice or nasty, but I will assume the former and welcome them as fellow Celts. I do not speak or read Welsh, but I could work out enough to see that they think I am a Scot. I can see where this misunderstanding came from, and would like to correct it as I am originally from Cornwall and now resident in Edinburgh, well Leith to be precise; although with a surname like mine I have a feeling that there is some Welsh ancestry in there somewhere.
