I have not had a trawl of the English Nationalists for a while now because I have better things to occupy my time; I got a bit bored this evening and decided to see if I could find anything interesting. I found this and I have to admit to being gobsmacked by the sheer stupidity of it, how can anyone lobbying for an English Parliament expect to be taken seriously when they come out with such utter and complete crap as this?

what exactly is it that you think is crap? the word “England” has been avoided at all costs ever since devolution. They merely wish to rectify the situation.England as a political entity still does not exist.

Frankly if I neither have the time nor the inclination to highlight what I think most people would see as crap in the particular post that I hghlighted; the whole stupid piece was, and is, just pathetic.
However, I would like to pick you up on one point, and that it that since Devolution England has been mentioned far more than it was before, the difference being that it is now used in its geographically correct sense… Also if as you say “They merely wish to rectify the situation.England as a political entity still does not exist” surely it would make sense not to have idiots running around coming out with such rubbish as can regularly be found on the blogs and forums of the Nationalists.
I do not, and never have, argued against an English Parliament, all I have said is that it will never happen in the form that English Nationalists are asking for; and is it any wonder when this is the sort of pathetic rubbish that is in the minds of some of these people.
You ask what it is that annoys me about English Nationalists; well the majority who have left comments on my blog have either been insulting or abusive or both, none of them are interested in a reasoned debate, that is until they realise that insults and abuse are not working, but by then it is too late. I am not say that all English Nationalists are like this just the ones I have had the misfortune to come across.
Yes, I believe that everyone should have equal rights no matter what their colour or creed; but do you not think that some of the racist and bigoted stuff to be found on the forums and blogs of the Nationalists is arguing just the opposite of equal rights? One of the Nationalist websites I have visited would positively take us back into the Dark Ages with the manifesto that they propose…
