Advice…

I was give a piece of advice today, the person who gave it will know who they are, for which I am very grateful. It puts a lot of things into perspective when one realises that there are friends out there in cyberspace, even if they are people that ones has never met, nor will ever be likely to meet. The person who gave the advice has been through hell on their own blog, and has far worse insults and comments thrown at them that I have had to endure here; the adviec was as follows:-

My only advice would be to build a support network (in the background if necessary) and to carry on what you you want to do. Whether that means the blog or anything else in your life.

This is very good advice indeed, and has made me sit up and think twice about leaving this blog to posterity. I have now worked out a strategy for the blog and will henceforth continue to make my thoughts known here and elsewhere I knw that there are people out there who will not always like what I have to say, but I suspect that those eople are so far up their own arses that they can no longer see the light of day…

Cock-up Rewarded!

I have just read this on the Grauniad website, and I do have to admit that it made me smile first, that is before sending me into a sense of total bemusement. To be honest this story first crossed my radar whilst listening to the Today Programme this morning.

The bit of the story that causes my bemusement is this:-

It also confirmed that it has agreed to pay former chief executive Adam Applegarth up to £760,000 and increase his annual pension by more than £40,000 a year to £304,000.

Now I have to confess that I would definitely not complain at being paid three quarters of a million, plus enhanced benefits, for making a complete cock-up of my job; I mean I actually thought that this bank was on the point of going tits up, but instead of giving the guy in charge the Grand Order of the Boot, they give him a very nice financial reward. I really do think that it begs the question of where this money is going to come from, and I think that if Northern Rock were looking after (a touch of sarcasm there) my money, this would be a question that I would be asking VERY vociferiously indeed, especially given the fact that vast amounts of tax-payers money is going into pulling Northern Rock’s ass out of the fire!

Further to the Last Post…

In the previous post I gave an explanation for not posting here, which provoked a comment from a blogging friend; the sort of comment that really makes it almost worthwhile putting up with the crap from those GOBSHITES that I was complaining about earlier…

An Explanation

I have been asked many time recently “why have you stopped posting on The BondBloke Alternative?”. Well there are a variety of reasons that I could give, but there is one main reason for me taking an extended break from this blog; and tht reason is the GOBSHITES who hide themselves under the umbrella of English Nationalism. Now I am prepared to engage in a reasoned argument with anyone; however these GOBSHITES cannot resist making personal attacks on myself. I deleted a comment that was up for moderation this morning; a comment, I hasten to add, which put forward some very good points, but which no one will now read because it started with this: “FUCK THE JOCKS AND FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING CUNT”. Now if this person was not asking to get their comment deleted I can see no point in the personal attack, and that was quite mild compared to some of the insults directed at me.

As I said previously I am always open to a reasoned debate; and this is why this blog was initially started, its intention was to highlight the racism and hypocrisy of those people who masquerade as English Nationalists, but who in fact are only using that umbrella to promote their viscious racist message. There is no way that one can have a reasoned debate with such people, especially when their idea of a reasoned debate is “I’m right, you’re wrong!” At this point in time I have absolutely no intention of engaging with such small minded people. There may come a point where I get beyond this bout of apathy and re-engage with the debate, but I can’t see that happening in the foreseeable future…
